I’ve been teaching Spanish for over 4 years, and there’s something I see over and over again:

Most students try to guess the meaning of my words by picking up isolated words they already know.

And then they create a complete meaning or context only based on that, which could be right or wrong.

When you hear Spanish, your brain focuses on “decoding” every single word.

But you cannot understand concrete or accurate information to respond correctly.

💡 How to fix it?

Today I’m sharing with you the first A2-B1-level audio for you to practice your listening skill.

I want you to answer these 4 questions after playing it:

  1. ¿Qué van a hacer por la tarde?

  2. ¿Qué tienen en la nevera?

  3. ¿Cuándo van a ir a comprar?

  4. ¿Quién va a hacer la lista de la compra?

Don’t feel overwhelmed and take it easy. I’ll be sending short activities like this every week.

TIP: Try to listen to any song or video in Spanish for just 10 minutes a day at least, and you’ll start noticing your brain “activating” Spanish automatically.
